2024 Subaru WRX Price, Specs, Redesign

2024 Subaru WRX Price, Specs, RedesignThe new Subaru WRX for 2022 aims to rekindle interest in rally-inspired sport compacts, which are on extinction. The 2017 WRX is expected to be a step forward from the previous model, thanks to a revised architecture to improve driving dynamics and the addition of a more powerful 271-hp turbocharged flat-four engine.

The Subaru WRX is one of those automobiles where the pleasure of the ride is the only thing that matters. On the other hand, the brand was indifferent about improving areas where it had fallen short in the competition. The 2022 Subaru WRX, on the other hand, will return with more competitive aesthetics and design.

The Subaru WRX isn’t as sporty as the STI, for which we have an independent review. For example, it lacks the big, inefficient rear wing, giving it a more modest appearance. There are still quad exhausts in the back and a functional hood scoop in the front. It isn’t as dull as the Impreza sedan, though. It’s the perfect understated pairing for the gearhead trying to up his game with his loved ones. The base model arrives with 17-inch alloy wheels, while the mid-and top-spec variants come with 18-inch wheels. They look sporty and allow for a slightly higher profile tire, unlike the STI, which has a lick of rubber painted right on the metal.

Based on the expected continuation of the same proportions, the WRX will have a 0.8-inch lower ground clearance than the Jetta GLI. It will, however, be 300 pounds lighter than the Stinger, allowing for a lower forward mass transfer. Some of the most notable exterior characteristics are as follows:

Interior

Although the 2024 Subaru WRX interior has been modified, the Subaru badge remains. Inside, there’s a blacked-out trim with red stitching. The cabin’s attractiveness is enhanced even more by the carbon fiber patterns throughout it. Furthermore, the GT model includes special Recaro Performance Front Seats.

The WRX sedan has seating for five adults. It can also comfortably accommodate them, with plenty of leg and headroom. The driver may rapidly find a comfortable position with a six-way manually adjustable driver’s seat on the lower two trims and a 10-way power driver’s seat on the WRX Limited. It’s easy to go in and out, and good visibility is. The legroom is 43.3 inches in the front and 35.4 inches in the back. The front headroom is 39.8 inches (or 37.2 inches if the sunroof is installed), while the rear headroom is 37.1 inches.

Engine

A 2.4-liter flat-four turbocharged engine powers the WRX. It has a six-speed manual or a continuously variable automatic transmission to provide its 271 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque (CVT). Every WRX has an all-wheel drive, as is customary. Those who opt for the automatic transmission, operated by paddle shifters on the steering wheel, have three different drive modes. The GT variant, which is only available with an automatic transmission, comes with adaptive dampers. A set of 17-or 18-inch wheels with summer performance tires is also available.

Subaru’s boxer engines aren’t particularly fuel-efficient, to begin with, and adding a CVT transmission doesn’t seem to improve things much. The CVT model scores 18/24/21 mpg in the city, highway, and combined cycles according to the EPA. The manual performs slightly better, with EPA ratings of 20/27/23 mpg. The WRX has a 15.9-gallon gas tank with a manual transmission, giving it a 365-mile range between fill-ups.

2024 Subaru WRX Release Date and Price

The Subaru WRX’s price reflects its outstanding value. The entry-level WRX costs $27,495. That’s essentially how much it costs because there’s not much you can do to the vehicle. The WRX Premium will set you back $30,045, while the WRX Limited will set you $32,095. On both the Premium and Limited versions, the CVT transmission costs $1,900. These prices do not include the $925 destination and delivery cost.
