2023 Subaru Ascent Redesign, Price and Release Date

2023 Subaru Ascent Redesign, Price, and Release Date – The Subaru Ascent, a mid-size SUV with three rows, is comparable to vehicles such as the Honda Pilot and Kia Telluride. The Ascent is a midsize three-row SUV that we like for its intuitive infotainment system, high-quality interior materials, and standard all-wheel-drive system. The Ascent isn’t as sophisticated as its rivals. This is where a 2023 refresh could be very useful.

Although the Ascent has been available since 2019, we don’t anticipate a complete redesign. However, this is often when significant upgrades are made in a vehicle’s lifecycle. The 2023 Ascent may see changes to its front and rear fascias, powertrain updates, and new interior tech. We like the 8-inch touchscreen on the current model, but other Subaru models have a stunning 11.6-inch display. This would make the Ascent’s interior look modern and fresh.

Exterior Design Changes

The exterior design changes could include new headlights or taillights. Still, there is a rumor that a brand-new Wilderness trim level may also be in the pipeline. The Wilderness trim is a top-of-the-line Subaru product. It offers upgrades like a raised suspension, all-terrain tires, underbody skid plates, and exterior styling changes such as plastic side cladding.

The interior of the Ascent will remain unchanged for 2023. The midsize SUV could be equipped with new materials and an interior designed for the Wilderness trim. However, the overall design of the Ascent is not expected to change. The interior design of the current SUV is focused on the infotainment system, which extends from the dashboard. Because of their locations, the center console contains multiple buttons and dials that can be confusing. The top of the dash has a small screen that displays the ambient temperature and the digital clock.

Engine Option?

Subaru’s current Ascent is available with only one engine. The current Ascent comes with a turbocharged, 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine. It produces 260 horsepower and 277 pounds-feet of torque. All-wheel drive and a continuously variable automatic transmission are standard. This powertrain will continue to be available through 2023.

Each Ascent is equipped with the EyeSight suite, including advanced safety features. All standard features are forward-collision warnings, automatic braking, lane departure warnings, automatic high beam assist,lane-keeping assistance,lane-centering, and adaptive cruise control. Reverse automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane change assistance, and a front camera are all available safety features.

PRICING AND RELEASE DATE

Subaru has not yet provided information about when the 2023 Ascent will be available. Still, we believe it will be this fall. The pricing of the 2023 Subaru Ascent is expected to remain the same as the current model, with a slight refresh. The Ascent currently ranges in price from $33,470 to $46,620 with the destination.

The Subaru Ascent will be competing against the Kia Telluride and Jeep Grand Cherokee L, Mazda CX-9, and Volkswagen Atlas.
