2024 Subaru Crosstrek Redesign, Specs, Release – The 2024 Subaru Crosstrek is the Instagram influencer’s concept of what an SUV should be, with a rough appearance and standard all-wheel drive. Although it has higher ground clearance than an Impreza hatchback, this car-based crossover won’t be able to compete with Jeeps and Land Rovers on actual trails. Instead, it excels at things that will likely make those same influencers appreciate it.
The larger 2.5-liter engine available in the Sport trim level is one of our favorites. In terms of total offerings, practicality, and safety, this SUV is among the best in its segment. Redesign of the Subaru Crosstrek 2024
The Crosstrek has the same sleek-looking headlamps and grille as the Impreza on which it is based. There are a lot of rough components, such as black cladding all around, including the front and rear bumpers and roof rails. More cladding and gray gunmetal accents are added to the Sport trim. The Subaru Crosstrek 2022 weighs 3,188 pounds and stands 8.7 inches tall.
The length of 176.5 inches, the width of 71 inches, and the height of 63.6 inches (including the roof rails) are the same for all trims. The only difference is the Crosstrek Hybrid’s lower roof rails, which give it a height of 62.8 inches. With a handy 8.7 inches of ground clearance, the Crosstrek is no ordinary hatchback or vehicle. The more road-oriented Mazda CX-30, on the other hand, boasts eight inches of ground clearance. The base manual Crosstrek is the lightest model at 3,117 pounds, while the Crosstrek Hybrid is the heaviest at 3,717 pounds.

Interior
The 2004 Crosstrek, like other Subarus, features a rough and utilitarian design language. There is enough space for 5 passengers, and the seats are comfy and supportive. Although there are some aesthetic aspects, such as carbon fiber trimmings and unique orange stitching on the seats, it appears plain given the price point. The Crosstrek, like other crossovers, has 60/40 split-folding rear seats that don’t fold flat like some of its competitors, limiting its utility. The leather chairs in the higher specification levels are supportive and pleasant.
The inside room of the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek isn’t the finest in its class, but it’s adequate. With a front legroom measurement of 43.1 inches, it is the largest in the class. It also has plenty of room for goods, with 20.8 cubic feet available. The competitors in the competition have more cargo space. The 2022 Kia Seltos, with a capacity of 26.6 cubic feet, provides the most room.

Engine
Three drivetrain options, including a plug-in hybrid, will remain available for the Crosstrek. The base models come with a 2.0L naturally aspirated flat-4 engine with 152 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque. It takes 10 seconds to run 60 mph and 16.9 seconds to complete a quarter-mile. The Sport and Limited trims feature a more powerful 2.5L Flat-4 engine that produces 182 horsepower and 176 lb-ft of torque, borrowed from the Outback. The added power saves more than a second, reducing the time it takes to reach 60 mph to 7.8 seconds and the quarter-mile to 16 seconds.
In the recently announced plug-in hybrid variant, a 118-hp electric motor is coupled with a 2.0L flat-4 engine for a total of 148 hp and 149 lb-ft of torque. Surprisingly, the hybrid model is faster than the base 2.0L engine, reaching 60 mph in 8.3 seconds and crossing the quarter-mile in 16.6 seconds, thanks to the electric motor’s immediate torque. The 8.8 kWh battery enables an all-electric range of up to 17 kilometers. The 6-speed manual transmission is typical on the Base and Premium models, with the CVT transmission available as an option on the Sports and Limited trim levels. Subaru’s symmetrical all-wheel-drive technology is standard on all models.
2024 Subaru Crosstrek released and price
The basic variant of the 2021 Subaru Crosstrek costs $22,245 in the United States. The Premium is priced at $23,295, while the Sport is $26,495. In Limited trim, the Subaru Crosstrek will cost $27,995. With an MSRP of $35,345, the only hybrid is also the most expensive Crosstrek. The 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid, on the other hand, may be eligible for a federal tax credit of up to $4,502, bringing it much closer to the Limited. These costs do not include taxes, licensing, registration, or a $1,050 destination fee. State-specific incentives may also be available.
