At 2022 New York Auto Show. Subaru reveals the new 2023 Subaru Outback; this new car has been given a new look, two engine options, and more tech improvement. These are the most significant changes to the SUV’s exterior since the 2017 Outback generation.
2023 Subaru Outback introduces a new trim package
The new Onyx Edition option is also offered, placed between the Wilderness or Premium trims. It can be requested with the 2.5-liter Boxer flat 6 engine and the 2.4-liter turbocharged engine. Black exterior enhancements include black alloy wheels and badging, and gray color on the interior

Subaru has recently upgraded its dual-camera EyeSight Driver Assist technology and Wide-Angle Mono Camera, updated multimedia system, wireless Apple CarPlay, or Android Auto. An LCD Smart rear-view mirror and auto-dimming are included in the Touring trim. Homelink allows you to wirelessly control your garage doors, security gates, and other devices.
Subaru added a Wide-Angle Mono Camera to the Subaru Outback 2023, improving its safety. But what does it do? Subaru Corporation provided additional information about the Outback safety upgrade. It was designed to avoid collisions between vulnerable road users, pedestrians, and cyclists.
Subaru Corporation reports that the extra camera improves pedestrian and bicyclist recognition when entering intersections at low speeds. The 2023 Subaru Outback will be the first American model to receive the Wide-Angle Mono Camera.

All 2023 Subaru Outbacks come with Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive.
This new 2023 Outback has a Symmetrical Wheel Drive, Active Torque Vectoring, and Vehicle Dynamics Control. Lineartronic CVT eight-speed automatic transmission delivers power with manual mode function. It also features paddle shifters. It provides a combined 23 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway for the 2.4-liter engine. The Boxer engine delivers 33 mpg. The Boxer engine has a towing capacity of 3,500 lbs.
Subaru also offers a feature called “what3words”, which allows users to use three words to express exact locations, such as trailheads or other difficult-to-find areas. It is standard on the STARLINK navigation system. Subaru has added a lot of updated technology to the 2023 Outback, including a new front end and new Onyx trim. It will be arriving later in the year.
