New Subaru Forester 2024 Release Date, Specs, Price

New Subaru Forester 2024 Release Date, Specs, PriceThe 2024 Subaru Forester is one of the roomiest compact SUVs, with plenty of passenger capacity and excellent off-road capability. However, its engine may be a little sluggish at times. The Subaru Forester is a perfect SUV. It features good gas mileage, good handling, and a comfortable ride. It’s also better at off-roading than the majority of compact SUVs. The Forester looks fantastic on the inside. It boasts two rows of comfortable seats and plenty of cargo space. Because it provides a better balance of quality and value than most of its class rivals, we designated the 2024 Forester a finalist in our Best Compact SUV for the Money category.

The exterior of the 2024 Forester has been updated to give it a more trucklike appearance, but the cabin remains as comfy and practical as ever, with plenty of storage compartments. AWD is standard on the Forester, as it is on most Subarus.

Subaru Forester 2024 Redesign

Subaru has updated the Forester SUV for 2024 with new wheel designs, a redesigned grille, and blockier-looking front headlamps. Like the Outback Wilderness, the Wilderness trim adds extra ground clearance and a rough aesthetic package to the lineup. On the inside, the Forester gets new optional gesture controls for the climate control system and a panoramic sunroof that comes normal on all but the lowest model.

The 2024 Subaru Forester’s looks are pretty standard, with nothing distinguishing it from other vehicles in this class. Still, it’s not awful, and with new LED headlights on either side of a revamped new grille, it looks a little more aggressive this year. These features are standard on higher trims, but if you want them, you’ll have to buy the higher-end model instead of the base model.

Interior

The Forester’s cabin is one of the roomiest in the compact SUV segment, and it’s well-built with high-quality materials. It isolates occupants from outside noise, and the new Wilderness trim’s water-repellent fabric makes it an ideal companion on muddy outings. The Forester has a seating capacity of five passengers. Drivers will like Forester’s excellent visibility, and passengers will appreciate the large, quiet cabin. Both rows of seats are spacious and comfortable, with ample headroom and legroom. Even if there are 6-footers in front, 6-footers can sit in the rear. The doors open wide, making it simple to get in and out of the vehicle from either row.

Few competitors in its class offer as much cargo space as this Subaru. The standard Forester has a cargo capacity of 28.9 cubic feet behind the back seats and 74.2 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down. These figures are reduced to 26.9 cubic feet and 69.1 cubic feet, respectively, in all subsequent variants.

Engine

Our 2024 Subaru Forester Wilderness test vehicle took 7,9 seconds to go 60 mph on our test track, which isn’t exactly exciting, but it’ll suffice for most purchasers. The 2.5-liter, flat-four cylinder machine in all Forester versions produces 180 horsepower and has a towing capability of 1500 pounds. Subaru’s characteristic AWD system is routed through a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT).

The Forester’s handling is competent for an SUV with no sporting goals. The ride is smooth and elegant, the steering is precise, and the brakes are powerful enough for emergency braking. The Honda CR-V and the turbocharged Mazda CX-5, and Kia Sportage are excellent choices for those seeking additional power.

The Price and Release Date of the Subaru Forester in 2024

The regular MSRP for the Limited trim is $32,898, the new Wilderness is $32,825, and the highest touring model is $35,294. The 2024 Subaru Forester’s base model starts at $25,195, including a $1,127 destination fee. The Forester Premium is priced at $28,194, while the Sport is at $29,763. When equipped with all available options, a fully loaded model will cost around $38,000, which isn’t terrible considering how much the base model costs.
