New Subaru Impreza 2024 Price, Dimension, Specs

New Subaru Impreza 2024 Price, Dimension, SpecsThis year’s Subaru Impreza, which comes in sedan and hatchback versions, is unchanged. Nothing has changed, save for the new exterior color and the removal of the Limited trim from the sedan type. As a result, the pricing of the 2022 Impreza sedan remains the same, starting at $18,795 before delivery and destination taxes. The Impreza sedan is powered by a mediocre engine that is neither powerful nor quick, nor does it get decent gas mileage. Although a manual or CVT transmission is available, the former is more inconvenient and should be avoided. The Impreza has a well-equipped cabin, excellent handling, and a comfortable ride despite its poor performance.

The interior of the Subaru Impreza 2022 is roomy and comfortable, with enough usefulness for the driver and passengers. It is, however, the only car in the competition to come standard with an AWD system, which makes driving in poor road conditions or areas with frequent snowfall much easier. Overall, it’s a good car for the money, and in a few places, such as cabin quality, it beats the competition. With around $19,000, the 2022 Subaru Impreza competes in the compact sedan segment against the Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, and Kia Forte.

The Impreza’s exterior design isn’t as startling as a hardcore WRX STI, but it’s nonetheless appealing. The Sport replaces the basic model’s 16-inch steel wheels with 18-inch alloy wheels. Halogen headlights are the most popular, with LED units with steering-sensitive technology and the limited grade being phased out. A control tilt and slide moonroof is an optional feature on most variants. Sapphire Blue Pearl, a new color for the 2022 model year, is one of seven exterior color possibilities.

The 2022 Subaru Impreza Sedan is a tiny sedan with dimensions comparable to the Honda Civic Sedan. The Impreza is 182.7 inches long, 70 inches wide, and 57.3 inches high. This Japanese sedan has a curb weight of 2,976 pounds for the base model, 3,084 pounds for the Premium, and 3,142 pounds for the Sport.

The interior of the Subaru Impreza 2024 remains the same as the previous model. This leads to a handy and well-built interior with plenty of storage and controls that are ergonomically situated. Subaru appears to have borrowed design cues from the Legacy for the inside, which seems to have been inspired by it. There is a mix of soft-touch and hard-touch materials on the dashboard and throughout the cabin, with the latter accounting for the majority. We won’t be complaining in this segment and this price range, though. A 4.2-inch driver’s digital display with analog gauges is on the left, and an infotainment screen is in the center, flanked by AC vents.

The instrument cluster is well-lit and visible even in bright sunshine. The seats are well-padded and supportive, and the upholstery is of good quality. There is considerable legroom and headroom in both rows and additional storage. On higher model levels, leather-trimmed seats with a heating function for the front seats are offered. Although the cargo space in the Impreza is only 12.3 cubic feet, it can hold your daily loads and a few pieces of carry-on luggage if you’re going on a weekend trip.

The 2024 Subaru Impreza’s sluggish 2.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-4 engine makes 152 horsepower and 145 pound-feet torque. All Imprezas come with all-wheel drive, and the engine is mated to either a 5-speed manual or a CVT transmission. This engine has a low power output and a moderate acceleration rate. It’s the slowest car in the segment to drive, and getting acceptable performance takes a lot of effort. Even worse are the transmission options, with the CVT being dead and the manual being clunky.

The Impreza excels in terms of ride and handling, despite its flaws. The 2022 Impreza accelerates from 0 to 60 MPH in under nine seconds and then takes another eight seconds to complete a quarter-mile, making it the slowest vehicle in the segment. On the other hand, the steering is swift and precise. Slamming the Impreza around corners at high speeds will not disturb it. Another area where the Impreza shines is braking, as it comes to a complete stop in a fraction of the time that comparable sedans in its class take.
